Bristlenose plecs are fantastic algae eaters. I highly recommend that you purchase plecs when you have significant alage growth as it is essential that they feed on natural algae and films for best health. They will also accept most pellet and tablet foods and are partial to a blanched vegetable like deshelled peas or green beans.
