Petrified Wood Stone (Fossil Wood)

1. Description: Petrified Wood is a sedimentary rock formed from ancient plant material that has undergone petrification. It literally translates to wood turned to stone. The original tree matter is replaced by sediments, resulting in a stone that retains the shape of the tree.

2. Colors: Petrified Wood can exhibit various colors due to impurities. Clear or white quartz is common, while iron oxide creates brown, pink, or red hues. Other colors like blue or purple indicate manganese oxide.

3. Aquarium Suitability:

   • PH and Hardness: Petrified Wood has a neutral pH and a hardness of 7, making it suitable for both saltwater and freshwater aquariums.
   • Stability: it proves a study foundation and won’t displace or collapse easily, even in high flow environments.

4. Usage: You can use Petrified Wood to add visual interest and depth to your aquarium or terrarium. It will compliment plants, your fish and other hardscape elements in your aquarium.
